Alentejo Red wine 2007
António Ventura Manual harvest on the third week of September, followed by destemming and storage in a fermentation tank for 10 days at 25 ºC. Trincadeira, Aragonês and Alicante Bouschet Clay loam Regional Alentejo Herdade da Ajuda, in Alto Alentejo.
Located on one of the best terroirs in all of Alentejo, this 1500-acre property allocated about one fourth of its land to grape growing. It benefits from a uniquely favourable microclimate for the large-scale production of wines made from a multitide of grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, Castelão and Alicante Bouschet. French and American oak barrels holding 60 gallons of wine for three months. No stabilisation during bottling (in order to ensure proper evolution whilst cellaring) may throw a slight natural sediment. Alcohol content: 13.8% - Total acidity: 5.5 g/l - Total sugars: 2.85 g/l
